Franklin Academy celebrates the success of each of our seniors and postgraduates as we hear about their college, university, and post-secondary program acceptances. Byron Crozier, our College Counselor, provides students and teachers with updates. Then, I share the news with our parents. Here is a message from Nick Georges after his son, Matt, received an acceptance letter from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Dear Fred, thank you for your kind words about Matthew. Nancy and I are also very pleased with all the progress he has made during his two years at Franklin Academy. It has been a long journey. There have been setbacks along the way. However, once Matthew arrived at Franklin, we could see a difference in him. More importantly, he sees and feels the difference himself. Matthew has developed keener insight into his diagnosis, is better able to self-advocate when needed, and can cope much better with the difficulties he encounters. His planning for college is well underway, and we have all been thrilled with the acceptances he has received so far. We do not think any of this would have been possible without the incredible team at Franklin Academy. Especially important has been the support and encouragement. We feel he has realized significant potential and growth while at Franklin. Indeed, he has acquired and honed the tools needed to succeed once he graduates. Thank you for everything. Nick
