I am delighted to announce Frankin Academy’s Tenth Annual Fall College Tour, coinciding with our mid-autumn break during Columbus Day Week (October 6 to 14). We recommend the experience for our juniors, seniors, and postgraduates as they consider their options after graduation.

This year’s trip itinerary includes thirteen colleges, universities, and post-secondary programs, representing many opportunities. We return to such Franklin favorites as Hampshire, Landmark, and Bennington College. We will visit Brown University for the first time, where a Franklin parent who is a professor is leading our tour. The trip offers a nice mix of urban, suburban, and rural campuses, and you can click here to access the itinerary.

As you will see, there is something for everyone, including two colleges – Landmark and Mitchell – specifically serving students with learning differences. However, all these schools provide academic support and accommodations, and I have indicated the admissions acceptance rate in parentheses beside each school.

In anticipation of a tour group numbering four Franklin Academy faculty and sixteen students, I have reserved a block of ten double-occupancy rooms at hotels on our travels through Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New York. Joining me once again on this tour are the following colleagues: Caitlin McDonald, Owls Team Leader; James Turner, Communication Department Head; and Josh Weissbach, Cranes Team Leader. We will be traveling in Franklin Academy SUVs.

Breakfast each morning will be at the hotel. Whenever possible, we will eat lunch on a college campus. Dinners will be a special treat at upscale restaurants carefully curated by Josh, Caitlin, and James, our food connoisseurs.
