Our continuing success in keeping the campus contagion-free throughout the fall and winter is a reason for optimism. Meanwhile, pandemic metrics are moving in the right direction across the country. Low numbers in Connecticut, Middlesex County, and East Haddam are especially encouraging. Now, the vaccination of 99% of our employees, employee spouses and partners, SAGE dining hall staff, and contracted service providers is an essential first step back. Our new challenge is to keep everyone safe while improving social life and enhancing emotional well-being during the spring term. Toward this end, our ad hoc Safety Review Committee met during the last two weeks of the Winter Trimester. Committee members assessed the situation and made recommendations for the Spring Trimester that the administrative team subsequently endorsed. Click here to access the committee’s new report.
