Franklin Academy’s DNA Road Race was a grand success for our many enthusiastic competitors and supportive spectators. The weather this past Saturday was beautiful, though perhaps unseasonably warm for the runners. However, there was much to enjoy. We had good music, race event t-shirts, friendly but spirited competition, impressive trophies, and much appreciated post-race snacks and camaraderie. Jake Sutterlin, Team Owl mathematics teacher, blazed the creatively designed 1.75-mile course inspired by the double helix in 12 minutes and 20 seconds. Bunched behind him were colleagues and classmates sprinting for the finish line. By clicking here, one can view a video slideshow of the DNA Race.
