Our students’ virtual orientation concludes tomorrow, and opening day is quickly approaching. However, three essential tasks must be completed before departure from home. For safety purposes, teams of students will repopulate campus over four days. Only four families may arrive at any one time. Therefore, this arrival process requires a sign-up system. We ask each family to reserve an arrival slot; this is the first essential task. Completing and submitting to the school all health forms is the second important task. Finally, every student and accompanying parent must bring documentation of negative COVID-19 tests, preferably within 72 hours before arrival. If test results take longer, we ask that parents and students do their best, combining available testing turn-around times with safe behaviors and quarantine. Meanwhile, Stoops (Mathematics Instructor) and his dog, Oscar, are eager to see students on campus once again.
