Franklin Academy’s nineteenth year is underway with the return this week of all teachers to campus. On Wednesday, we gathered at 9:00 am in the Great Room of the School House for introductions and a few words from me and Rebecca Hays, Program Director. Then, teachers met by teams to prepare for the return of students.

This year Franklin Academy employs forty-four professional educators – essentially one teacher for every two students on campus. We average eighteen years in the profession. Eighty percent of us have earned graduate degrees, including six individuals with doctorate degrees.

From my perspective, this might be our most distinguished group of colleagues when considering academic preparation, collective experience, and promising potential. Linked to this post is a one-page list of us, including our positions at Franklin, years of experience, and education.
