We’re proud to share some exciting news: Franklin Academy has been named a Top 5 Finalist in the 2024 Best of Connecticut awards in the “Private School – High School” category!
While we didn’t take home the top prize, this recognition is a powerful milestone—especially during a year defined by growth, innovation, and transition. Being selected as a finalist is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, the resilience of our students, and the strength of our mission.
Among the finalists, Franklin Academy stood out in meaningful ways:
- We were the only school in our county to be recognized.
- We were the smallest school in the finalist group.
- And most notably, we were the only school serving a specialized population—students who are neurodivergent and who flourish within our intentionally designed learning community.
This acknowledgment is more than just a distinction—it’s a reflection of the increasing recognition of our work. It highlights the value of our approach, the power of our community, and the pride we share in supporting students who learn differently.
At Franklin Academy, we know that neurodivergent students thrive when they are understood, supported, and challenged in the right ways. That’s why we offer a flexible, relationship-based model that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth from 8th grade through the post-graduate year.
As we move forward, we’re committed to building on this momentum—continuing to amplify the Franklin Academy story and the transformative outcomes we help make possible.
This finalist recognition is more than a badge of honor—it’s a springboard. We invite you to discover why Franklin Academy is one of Connecticut’s most extraordinary educational options for neurodivergent students—and why we’re just getting started.
