Some graduatates leave behind more than just memories. They leave behind momentum. Heart. A sense that something meaningful has shifted because they were here. As the Class of 2026 prepares to graduate, we are not simply saying goodbye to a remarkable group of students, but we are also welcoming them into the Franklin Academy alumni community, a community that will always remain connected by shared experiences, growth, and belonging.
Here at Franklin Academy, it happens every year! Every year is marked by the extraordinary growth of our students. The Franklin Academy Class of 2026 is full of heart and changemakers. Changemakers whose courage to try new things allowed us to expand our athletics program and left us a legacy of persistence, resilience, and success. Changemakers whose creativity and ambition expanded our understanding of possibility.
This year’s graduates have shown us what it means to belong, to persevere, and to grow into oneself with authenticity and courage. They arrived at Franklin from different places, with different stories, strengths, and challenges, yet together they created a community defined by compassion, resilience, humor, creativity, and determination. They loved each other, fought with each other, cried together, laughed together, made mistakes, and learned to overcome their challenges together.
At Franklin Academy, we often speak about creating an environment where students can truly be known. The Class of 2026 embraced that opportunity fully. Over the years, we watched students discover hidden talents, step into leadership roles, advocate for themselves and others, and develop the confidence to navigate a world that does not always understand the ways people learn and think differently.
Their accomplishments extend far beyond grades, transcripts, or college acceptances, though those achievements are certainly worth celebrating. This class has contributed to nearly every aspect of campus life. They have performed on stage, competed on athletic teams, mentored peers, cared for animals on the Franklin Farm, explored robotics and technology, participated in student leadership, created art, traveled, volunteered, and built friendships that will endure far beyond graduation day.
Some found their voice for the very first time here.
Others discovered that their differences were not deficits, but strengths.
Many learned that growth is not linear and that success is not about perfection, but persistence.
The Class of 2026 has shown extraordinary courage in moments both large and small: asking for help when needed, trying again after setbacks, learning to manage challenges, supporting classmates through difficult moments, and celebrating one another’s successes with genuine joy.
Perhaps most importantly, they helped shape the culture of our campus at a strategic moment in our history. They contributed to a community where kindness matters, where individuality is valued, and where students increasingly feel safe enough to take risks, build confidence, and imagine futures that once may have seemed out of reach.
As they prepare to leave Franklin Academy, they do so at a meaningful moment in the school’s story, and at the beginning of a new relationship with the school as alumni. Across campus, we are continuing to invest in the student experience through improved learning and community spaces, expanded opportunities, and the growing vision of a future centered on belonging, wellbeing, and possibility. Franklin Academy’s next chapter has begun, and the Class of 2026 has helped inspire that vision. Their experiences, voices, and journeys continue to remind us why this work matters so deeply, and we look forward to seeing the many ways they will continue to shape the world beyond Franklin.
