What is your favorite Franklin memory? One year I was working with a group of senior boys who loved WWE. They advocated to be allowed to stay out a little past their usual in-room time on my night each week so that they could watch. In the winter of that year WWE came to a local area and we made arrangements for a late-night trip to watch it live. It was so much fun sharing in something that they enjoyed so much (even though I have no interest in WWE myself.)
What is your favorite Franklin tradition and why? I have so many favorite traditions, but I’ll choose to talk about Pi Day. Pi Day is a big deal at Franklin Academy and looked forward to by students and faculty alike. From the pi trivia to pi in the face, this event has something for everyone. One of the biggest highlights is the math departments pi-themed song. I especially love that the only school-record that we consistently tracked is the number of pi digits our students can recite!
If I could shadow a Franklin alum for the day, what would I hope to learn? If I could shadow a Franklin alum for the day I would want to observe how they manage day-to-day life. What Franklin lessons are they putting into action? I would want to see their joy and success in the life, family, and career they have built.
