Biography:

Josh Acocella-Stollerman is a clinical psychologist and the Dean of Campus Wellness and Student Development at Franklin Academy. Dr. Acocella-Stollerman has 25 years of experience working with neurodivergent students in a wide range of positions and environments. He holds a Level 1 Certification in Narrative Therapy from The Evanston Family Center, and is certified in Strength-Based Programming through The Bridges Graduate School of Cognitive Diversity. Dr. Acocella-Stollerman utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach grounded in tenets of humanistic psychology, focused holistically, including educational, environmental, social, familial, and cultural contexts that may be problematic, protective, or that may provide opportunities for growth and development. His professional interests include the impact of technology on development, narrative therapy, strength-based and talent-development evaluation and program development, and forensic psychology and criminology. Dr. Acocella-Stollerman is an alumnus of the F.B.I. Citizen’s Academy and heads Franklin Academy’s Forensic Club.  He is also on the Board of Directors for the Hartford Wolf Pack Booster Club.
