Lexie DeMarco
Lexie began her teaching career at the Walker Beacon School, where she served as a science teacher. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut (UConn) and a Master’s in Physics from Northeastern University. During her time at Northeastern, Lexie worked as a teaching assistant, supervising and independently teaching physics labs while assisting professors with grading and other course-related tasks.
A passionate astrophysics enthusiast, Lexie is deeply fascinated by the night sky and enjoys sharing her love for the subject with her students. She was also a McNair Scholar at UConn, part of the TRIO program, and dedicated to supporting first-generation and underrepresented students in STEM fields.
In addition to her work in physics, Lexie teaches a renewable energy class and has a keen interest in environmental science. She brings a hands-on approach to her classes with an emphasis on robotics, circuit building, and math. Outside of her teaching duties, Lexie leads the baking club on Wednesdays, enjoys collecting vinyl records, and is a devoted animal lover, with her two cats being her pride and joy.
