Lulu McDonald ’17 sent an email update this week. Here is her message. “Right now, I am in my hometown of Hong Kong, studying at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. I am also working with kids, teaching them theater, art, and communication as an assistant. Additionally, I am in an independent movie, titled Hong Kong 1942, based on the Japanese occupation during World War II. It wasn’t too big of a role. I was a background extra/dancer in a few scenes. However, this opportunity was an outstanding learning experience. Thanks to my years at Franklin Academy, I am really happy. Hopefully, I can revisit campus soon.” Lulu is pictured above with some of her fellow cast members from the movie. She is fifth from the left. Lulu’s younger brother, Nick, is currently a junior on Team D at Franklin Academy.
