An Overview of Franklin Academy: A Webinar Designed Specfically for Professionals

April 20 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Educational consultants, evaluators, counselors, and other professionals who serve neurodivergent students are welcome to join Dr. Alexander Morris-Wood, Head of School, on Monday, April 20 at 6:00 PM ET for this virtual overview of Franklin Academy, an independent college-preparatory school designed specifically for neurodivergent learners in grades 8–12 and postgraduate.

During this session, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the school’s philosophy and pedagogy, including the design and implementation of Franklin’s skill-and-grade based benchmark assessment system, which reframes how student growth and mastery are measured. Dr. Morris-Wood will also share the structure of the four-year college readiness curriculum, intentionally built to scaffold executive functioning, self-advocacy, and postsecondary planning, as well as an introduction to Franklin’s new co-curricular transcript launching in Fall 2026, designed to capture the full scope of student engagement, leadership, and skill development beyond the classroom.

This session is also designed to be interactive. We welcome feedback, insights, and emerging ideas about trends in education, particularly as they relate to neurodivergent learners and college readiness. This is an opportunity for professionals to not only learn about Franklin Academy, but to contribute to a broader conversation about the future of inclusive, skill-based education.
