Franklin Academy is excited to announce the appointment of Kevin Trimble as Associate Head of School for Business and Operations, effective July 1, 2026. Kevin was selected following an extensive nationwide search launched in summer 2025.
Kevin joins Franklin Academy with a distinguished background in program leadership, operational strategy, and student development, with particular expertise supporting neurodivergent learners. Most recently at Beyond Akeela, he oversaw programs designed to prepare neurodivergent teens for post-secondary success, focusing on social development, executive functioning, independent living, self-advocacy, and college transition skills. Recognized nationally for program quality and student outcomes, Beyond Akeela is widely regarded as a leader in experiential learning environments that prioritize safety, intentional design, and dignity for complex learners.
Kevin’s appointment marks an important transition as Franklin Academy advances its next chapter of growth. In this role, he will lead several strategic initiatives including campus master planning, expansion of the school’s post-graduate offerings and Summer at Franklin programs, technology and facility enhancements, and exploration of schoolwide partnerships. He will also play a critical role in ensuring Franklin Academy’s continued commitment to mission-aligned growth and operational sustainability.
According to Dr. Alexander Morris-Wood, Head of School, “Kevin brings a rare blend of strategic business acumen and deep understanding of how systems and environments shape student success,” said the Head of School. “From our first conversations, it was clear that he shares Franklin Academy’s values and our belief that expansion must always remain student-centered. He was a universal choice.”
With experience spanning independent schools, residential programs, and higher education, Kevin is widely respected for his ability to translate vision into practice and for his leadership in programs serving neurodivergent students and families. His appointment underscores Franklin Academy’s commitment to intentional scaling, institutional health, and the continued refinement of its educational model.
