Our school’s Code of Conduct inspires and informs many community interactions. We start by respecting each other. We are honest and show tolerance for differences. Furthermore, we state this intention: “We take care of Franklin Academy.” Such a deliberate focus on school community encourages students to make Franklin a better place to live and learn. Consequently, student government plays an important role in providing leadership opportunities for shaping the common good. Our candidates for next year’s president and vice president spoke today at Community Meeting – Matt and Evan, Josh and Sam, Amy and Rhett. They proposed a range of reasonable promises and practical initiatives. Then, a brisk round of challenging questions and thoughtful answers followed. Finally, our students voted. Tomorrow, the results will be announced. Good luck to all of our candidates!
