After two years of beta testing, our educators now possess a more effective tool to track student progress. Assistant Headmaster Tom Hays is the architect of this new initiative. He will provide Franklin’s parents with a first look at how we capture performance during a zoom seminar on April 22. Tom will identify the program’s conceptual components and explain why we record daily obligations, classroom work, and core competency checklists. Then, this information flows into weekly reports that team contacts share with parents. Our educators can also create data-driven outcome charts to document student development. Additionally, we are able to compare individual performance to team norms. I anticipate that Tom’s presentation will provide our parents with invaluable insight regarding what we do as Franklin educators and why we do it. Another important benefit will be a closer, more informed educational partnership between home and school.
