I love receiving emails from our alumni. Here is the latest one.
Dear Fred,
I hope this email finds you well. As I could not attend the virtual alumni reunion, I wanted to share an update with all who would like to know. In a month, I will graduate from The Institute of Art and Design at New England College in Manchester, New Hampshire. I am still on the dean’s list and eligible to join the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society as I am in the top 35% of my class. I recently launched a Kickstarter for my upcoming comic Metanoia, which became fully funded in just two days. After graduation, I plan to travel around the U.S to find a creative community where I can see myself living. My boyfriend, his family, and I are starting with a road trip through California. It is crazy how I went from thinking I would never complete a college education because of my autism to graduating with several successes under my belt. I do not believe I would be here if it were not for the community and teachings at Franklin Academy. Thank you again for all that you have done.
Sincerely,
Isabelle (Izzy) Rousseau, FA’14
Congratulations, Izzy. I am sending in my Kickstarter donation today. By the way, our next alumni virtual reunion is set for Tuesday, May 4, starting at 7 pm. Mary Murphy sent an email announcement of this upcoming event earlier today.
