We are launching a new initiative to increase our virtual outreach to parents. The school is developing a series of informational and educational seminars over the next few months. These workshops will highlight concepts and practices fundamental to our program. Franklin educators will cover college readiness and the application process, testing and assessments, virtual learning, and our core competency paradigm, including the tracking system. The seminar format will vary from live presentations to recorded webinars with live follow-up Q&A sessions.

The first seminar in the series, School to Home Transitions, is designed for parents new to Franklin Academy. Chelsea Lazos, Dean of Students, and Kinsley Rausch, Dean of Transitional Services, provide an opportunity to learn and discuss practical strategies and interventions to manage school breaks. These transitions with their inherent challenges are ripe with learning opportunities for all of us. Families will learn how to develop reasonable expectations and goals while simultaneously aligning with the Franklin Academy’s program practices. Our next presentation will be a timely seminar on virtual learning. It comes out next week to prepare for our Cyber Franklin December Intersession.

PS: FLI seniors, postgraduates, and teachers wait in the Great Room of the School House for their individual yearbook photographs earlier this week.
