Mark Hally is a member of Franklin Academy’s class of 2022. I remember well his visit to campus and interview during the winter of 2017. We talked about several topics, including Mark’s keen interest in the Boy Scouts and his desire to earn his Eagle Award. On that occasion, I mentioned to Mark that I am (not “was”) an Eagle Scout. Now, Mark has earned his way to Scouting’s highest award.  Only 9% of participants in the Scouts BSA Program become Eagles. On behalf of the entire Franklin Academy community, I want to congratulate Mark. He has realized an important personal goal.  Mark learned new skills and earned many merit badges. He also demonstrated effective leadership in conceiving and implementing his Eagle project that brought Wreaths Across America to his hometown of Branford, Connecticut, to honor military veterans buried in local cemeteries.
