Columbus Day through New Year’s is my favorite stretch of the school year. In past years I organized and led a week-long college tour through New England with ten to fifteen of our students. Of course, this trip is on hold until we emerge on the other side of the pandemic. But, everyone can still enjoy the return of predictable school routines, cooler days and nights, brilliant fall foliage, the holidays’ approach, and the first snows of winter. And, we are developing some new traditions while we cocoon on campus.
