Franklin Academy’s winter trimester concludes at the end of this week. Now, I am looking ahead to the spring trimester, our summer program, and the next school year. Consequently, there is much information to share.
I will start first with the 2021-22 calendar that you can review by clicking here. We are sufficiently encouraged by the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines to return to our preferred academic calendar based on five-week terms called quints. Additionally, we hope that certain special events, such as Fall Parents’ and Grandparents’ Days, might be possible next year. Similarly, I intend to lead our eighth annual fall college trip during the October break. Finally, we would like to resume our international travel/study program during the spring intersession. Of course, these travel options only make sense if the pandemic is behind us.
Our 2021 summer program brochure will be ready for review in a few days. Meanwhile, our ad hoc safety review committee will soon determine the appropriate mitigation measures for the spring months at Franklin Academy. Then, I will post my next health and safety update.
