Byron Crozier, College Counselor, affirmed two seniors at Community Meeting today. Carson now has eight acceptances: Adelphi, Barry University, Fairleigh Dickinson, Fort Lewis College, Kutztown University, Southern Illinois University, University of Arizona, and University of Colorado (Denver). Landmark College accepted David, and he is waiting to hear from more schools.
Since my last update, Champlain, Curry, FDU, and Hampshire College have approved Aspen’s applications. Curry College has also accepted Kaveh, as has Merrimack College. Finally, the college acceptances roll in for Nick. His newest choices include Dean, Landmark, Manhattanville, Merrimack, Pace, University of Rhode Island, and West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
If you are a Franklin parent of a sophomore, junior, or two-year senior who should start thinking about the college admissions process, you might want to steer your student to the Spring Intersession course, Get Schooled. In this experiential course, students will explore various post-secondary options, including large universities and small colleges in rural, suburban, and urban settings, as well as internship and vocational training programs. Amy Bigelow, Fahd Rafiq, Dan Gould, and Kim Youmans are the course instructors.
