Extra Information Session Scheduled – March 17

At the conclusion of each major school holiday – Thanksgiving break, as well as the December, February, and April vacations, the Admissions Office holds an on-campus informational session for the parents of prospective students. Due to enthusiastic interest and especially the large number of parents attending our February gathering, we have decided to schedule an extra information session for Saturday, March 17. The time is 2 to 4 pm, and the location is the Headmaster’s Residence on campus.

This is a perfect occasion to meet the administrative team, hear about a day in the life of our students, learn the compelling reasons why a boarding school program can better serve students with Nonverbal Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Asperger’s Syndrome, and gain an appreciation for the goals of a Franklin Academy education. A panel of current students, alumni, and parents will share their stories about personal decisions to attend Franklin Academy, talk about the positive outcomes that resulted, and answer questions from the audience. Then, we will break into smaller groups to discuss specifics about the admission process, Summer Sojourn, our high school program, and both the Franklin Learning Institute (FLI) and the Franklin Academy College Transition Support program (FACTS) that prepare seniors and postgraduates for college. There is also time for informal conversations with students and administrators.

This is a great opportunity to determine whether our school might be a good fit for your son or daughter. You will have the chance to network with other parents and enjoy some Franklin Academy hospitality that includes the Headmaster’s freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. For more information, contact the Admissions Office by calling 860.873.2700, extension 1153, or by emailing us at admissions [at] fa-ct.org.
