We are about to begin the fourth quint of the 2021-2022 school year. Our faculty returned to work today, and we look forward to student arrivals this Sunday. Here is a brief checklist of tasks to be completed during the remaining days of mid-winter break.

  • Students should only return to campus once they have tested negative for COVID-19 during the 72 hours before this Sunday. A PCR, rapid test, or an at-home self-test are all acceptable.
  • Please inform the Health Center if there is an active case of COVID in the student’s home or if your student is experiencing the onset of problematic symptoms.
  • Update medical records with the Health Center if your student received a booster shot over the break.
  • Students should return with appropriate masks and be prepared to wear them, both inside and outside, for at least the first week of school.

Please know that we will revise our COVID safety protocols as we are able. Connecticut reported a daily test positivity number of 3.48% yesterday, down from a high of 25% in late January. Thus, there is a reason for optimism as we navigate this phase of the pandemic through the late winter and spring. I will keep everyone posted about developments and changes on campus. Safe travels on Sunday.
