We keenly appreciate the importance of friendships at Franklin Academy, which explains the progression of words in our school motto – “Belong, Grow, Succeed.” Good things happen when each student experiences the solidarity of belonging to a natural peer group. It is also gratifying to know that Franklin friendships last beyond graduation. Here is one group of close friends. These alumnae stopped by my dinner table to say hello last Saturday evening at La Vita in East Haddam (from left to right: Lauren Klein ’15, Julia Finaldi ’15, Kaitlin Jackson ’14, Allison Thurz ’14, and Liz Friel ’14). It has been seven years and counting since they were together on campus as students. However, these women remain in close contact, creating new memories and sharing updates about all aspects of their respective adult lives.
