Last year’s Franklin bubble, created in response to the pandemic, inspired some new campus traditions. One of these is the annual campus road race covering a 1.75-mile course of two laps over acres of challenging terrain. This year the race date was May 11. Our race theme was the Eccentric Genius Race in honor of two brilliantly creative people who share this birthday, Salvador Dali and Richard Feynman. It was a delight to see so many students pushing themselves to try something new and uncomfortable.  They ran or walked the course.  Many served as course monitors or chose to be cheerleaders. The race was also a wonderful way of pulling everyone in the Franklin Academy community together. Click on this link to access a video slideshow of the race.
