I am impressed. Our teachers tackled an unprecedented challenge with determination and creativity. Consequently, I realize that our school family will get through this national emergency. We will emerge whole. Over one short week, our teachers chose the digital platform to deliver the school’s distinctive program. Residential specialists created a daily schedule for each student to provide structure, learning, and interaction – Monday through Friday. Then, each team worked on academic content to deliver a skills-based curriculum as well as residential lessons. Additionally, we will offer homework help, office hours, activities, and club time. Finally, we are creating a community meeting forum to share information, provide updates, and offer affirmations. Team contacts communicated more detailed information to parents and students at the end of this week as we prepare to go “live” with Franklin Academy’s dynamic version of distance learning on Monday.
