Three faculty chaperones and seven students traveled 1,300 miles in three Franklin Academy SUVs through five states and visited eleven colleges and universities over nine days on the road. We sampled food in six college dining halls, and we enjoyed wonderful dinners in some very distinctive restaurants – Caminito’s Argentinean Steakhouse in Northampton, Dinosaur Barbecue in Rochester, Wasabi’s All You Can Eat Sushi in Saratoga Springs, and American Flatbread in Burlington to name a few. We stayed at six different Hampton Inns and one Embassy Suites. No one became sick; no one got lost; no one was left behind. We saw nine of our alumni on their college campuses. I took countless photographs. In the end, RIT was the favorite school we visited with six of our seven tour participants indicating high interest in learning more. Conversations have started about the itinerary for the next fall college tour. Click on the arrow in the middle of the photograph above to see a video slideshow of trip highlights.
