Three adults and nine students traveled 1,100 miles in three Franklin Academy SUVs across six states to visit eleven colleges and universities during the mid-fall break. The largest school was the University of Vermont with 11,000 undergraduates. The smallest school was Landmark College with 450 undergraduates. Along the way, we saw thirteen of our alumni in action, and we found their successes to be inspiring. We stayed at six different hotels – Hampton Inns, a Best Western Plus, and an Embassy Suites. Exciting food options for lunch and dinner competed with cheeseburgers and a mountain of fries to go along with milkshakes. There was just one day of rain during a week for sunshine and bright fall colors. Our itinerary next fall will include the following schools: Hampshire, Hartwick, Colgate, Hamilton, Syracuse, RIT, St. Lawrence, Clarkson, McGill (Montreal), Mansfield Hall, Dartmouth, and Landmark.
