We celebrated this past week the college admissions success of Seth Lee and Rhett Manifold. Western Connecticut State University approved Seth’s application. Now, he waits to hear from Florida Institute of Technology, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and the University of North Dakota. Rhett Manifold received the “thumbs-up” from Pennsylvania College of Technology and SUNY Alfred State College of Technology. He has also submitted applications to Roger Williams University, the University of Hartford, and Vermont Technical College.

While Seth’s and Rhett’s lists represent a small sample of schools, it is clear that our seniors and postgraduates apply to a wide range of colleges and universities. Indeed, over the years, Franklin Academy students have been accepted by almost 350 different post-secondary programs. So many choices, however, creates a new challenge. How does one determine the best fit? The personal equation will need to consider talents, aspirations, and resources, matching these variables to each opportunity.
