Meeting Franklin Academy alumni at their college or university is a tour dividend. Each story of personal success encourages our current students – “if they can do it, then so can I.” Thus, I was delighted when Emily Weglein, FA 2019, greeted us upon arrival in the Hartwick Admissions Office. Emily first saw Hartwick during our 2018 college tour. I think she was immediately smitten. When I asked her just before the spring semester of freshman year about happiness at Hartwick, Emily’s answer was simple and to the point: “Right fit, right choice.” Now, she is a junior majoring in psychology with a minor concentration in education. Her career goal is to become a school psychologist.
